Yash’s entry marks a new phase in Vanshaj’s story. Tell us more about your character and this new phase.
Yash’s entry marks a new phase in Vanshaj. Previously focused on one family’s succession, the story now includes the Mahajans and Talwars, each carrying historical baggage. Yash brings a fresh energy with his unique, energetic approach and his uncanny ways of doing things. He harbors angst against the Mahajans but is fun-loving, principled, and deeply values his close-knit, supportive family. As a new-age businessman, he’s someone people naturally gravitate toward.

What drew you to the role of Yash Talwar?

Every character I’ve played has been unique, including Yash. He isn’t a typical suited-booted businessman; but he’s suave, with a knack for getting things done. Despite being an astute businessman, Yash doesn’t always discuss money matters. There’s also a softer side of Yash that really attracted me. He loves his family a lot, especially his mother and sister, and can do anything to protect them.

Vanshaj has a massive fan following. Do you feel any pressure portraying a new character?

Yes, Vanshaj has a huge fan following but that doesn’t put any pressure on me as an actor. I think the success of the show is a bonus because people already love this show. I am sure that the audience and the loyal fan base of Vanshaj will eventually fall in love with the Talwars as well.

How would you describe the dynamics between Yash and Yuvika on the show?

The dynamics between Yash and Yuvika will keep evolving, with layers unfolding gradually. There will be a mix of business and personal rivalry with both Yuvika and the rest of the Mahajan family as Yash has an earlier angst against them. The audience will need to watch the show to see how their story develops.

What’s your take on the Talwar vs Mahajan rivalry?

Every business family has rivals, and the Talwar and Mahajan’s story is no different. Beyond business conflicts, the Talwars have a personal feud with the Mahajans, adding curiosity to the story. I am sure the audience will be gripped as the reason for the rivalry and the impact it has on the family dynamics unfolds.

Can you share any memorable moments from the set during your entry scenes?

My character’s entry in the show was very unique. Yash was seen jumping from a plane and landing in a field to ensure he reached a meeting on time. This was a new experience for me, and I had a blast filming the scene. Also my scenes with my co-actors Sudesh Berry and Mona Wasu who are both seasoned actors are delightful. One moment that truly resonated with me was when I was delivering a dialogue to Mona Wasu, who plays my mother in the show, and I said “Ma, my strength, my peace.” This line made me very emotional because I deeply miss my mom. I think I could connect with it intensely both as Yash and as Shaleen.
